The
diaries
about wildlife in my garden in Hampshire (England) began as I followed the
nesting of Blue Tits
and Robins in 2000.
Since then they have continued annually with nesting
diaries (with webcams), reports on the wildlife that lives here or visits us, and the
occasional holiday trip, including some underwater photography.
Unfortunately, over the
last few years The diaries have suffered gaps of increasing length and I'm
afraid that family matters, along with my CFS meant that 2011 saw the
longest gap yet, with the diary coming to an end before June.
While the garden was badly neglected by me for
much of the year, we had another successful
nesting season in the Swift boxes, with three pairs each raising six chicks,
which was brilliant. I have put
up a four more boxes for them this Spring.
2005 saw the garden featured in the BBC's
Spring Watch television series, and in 2006 we were visited again by the
BBC, this time for a Radio 4 program called Shared Earth.
I greatly appreciate your comments,
contributions, and corrections, especially of my sometimes inaccurate ID's.
Enjoy your
visit -
